A return to a Society Ref and a return to winning ways for the Killie U16 boys today, running out 0-39 in a competitive game against Bishopton.
Whilst the score suggests a one way game it was a good work out for the boys, both teams kept going until the final whistle with no quarters given.
The Kilmarnock boys all played well today, and whilst they were guilty of giving away a lot of penalties for offside they soaked up the pressure from Bishopton (mainly through their 13 who had a good game) and once they got into their stride they score some great team tries as well as some individual tries, good to see the support play today as well - well done to all the boys.
Callum took a shoulder/head injury early on and had to come off, fingers crossed he’s back for training on Wednesday, and Ruaraidh suffered a “gentleman’s” injury that he managed to run off.
Lots of contenders for MoTM today but for strong scrummaging, good attack play and ball carrrying, as well as getting on the score sheet Jamie Steven just clinches it.
